Is Leaving current Job to try for another Job correct or not?

A woman follower (Name hidden) asked like this:

“ I truely read all kind of advices given by you. Thanks a lot. I am currently working in e-publishing sector but, I want to go for bank job. For that i feel like leaving the current job and prepare for bank exams. but my parents are not allowing to leave the job. kindly advice in this regard.”

REPLY:

I am with your parents only. They are right. Why?

One should never lose his present job to TRY for another job. Because, TIME will not be like this tomorrow.

If you skip your present job, you MAY or MAY NOT get another one. It is like a cat on the wall.

Why?

(i) If there is an economic slow down in future, the appointments may be restricted in various fields.

(ii) If some negative dasa – bukti period is running for you or to start in near future as per your horoscope, you may not be able to get another job immediately.

So, it is not wrong in trying for still better jobs that suits you better. But, it SHOULD BE DONE BY BEING IN YOUR EXISTING JOB.

I myself did that mistake. After studies, I got Jobs in very good companies. In fact, I earned decently and was peaceful and I got enough time for chanting and devotional practices.

But, as I came up from financially poor background, I wanted to be an entrepreneur and becoming rich. So, I started my own venture after resigning my job.

Then, I LOST PEACE AS I FACED THE BURDEN OF RUNNING A COMPANY. And, I alloted time for chanting and saadhanas and even for this online preaching with much difficulty.

I felt that I would have still comfortably practiced Krishna Consciousness if I had remained as an employee in my old company.

Because, money and position did not satisfy me. With the advancement of age, I started giving priorities to cultivating Krishna Consciousness.

So, I thought that I took a wrong decision many years back by quiting my job to try for business.

Only after learning Astrology I found that I should not do any commercial business, but destined to serve the Lord.

Then, I quit my business and became a full time servant for Krishna and His devotees.

You too should not feel so later. So, first get a good job as you like after verifying its pros and cons. After getting that appointment order, give resignation letter to your present job.

This is my general advice for all the youth based on my own experience:

FIRST JOIN WHATEVER JOB YOU GET. DON’T BE IDLE. KEEP EARNING SOMETHING. THEN, IF YOU LIKE TO SWITCH, NEVER QUIT YOUR PRESENT JOB TILL YOU GET ANOTHER GOOD ONE.

Our karma is strong. It may delay getting new jobs. So, never quit the current one.

EVERY JOB MAY HAVE DIFFFERENT TYPE OF PROBLEMS! DON’T EXPECT A SMOOTH SAILING IN THIS KALIYUGA OF QUARRELS. PROBLEMS ARE EEVRYWHERE.

Leaving current Job to try for another Job is not advisable. Act safely in this kaliyuga.
